Ever wanted to learn how to code, but don’t have a teacher near you? Join Mission:Libre’s programming classes!
Mission:Libre’s classes are for people aged 11-14. They’re held once a week, online via Mission:Libre’s videochat – so you can participate anywhere in the world!
You don’t need to know anything about programming to join in. I’ll teach you everything you need to know. Over 24 weeks, you’ll go step-by-step from the most basic programming concepts to building a real computer game.
You’ll learn:
• How to write programs in the Python programming language;
• How to plan and design a complete game from scratch;
• How to work as a team to build a complex project;
• How to solve problems with your programs and write reliable code.
At the end, we’ll be holding a showcase where you’ll be able to show off your work to others!
These lessons are fee-based; your class fees will help fund the rest of Mission:Libre’s work. Please e-mail carmen@missionlibre.org for more information or to sign up. Fees can be waived for a limited number of low-income students.
